Vudi is the nickname of Mark Pankler (born September 22, 1952, Chicago), guitarist with American Music Club.[1] He is also the vocalist and guitarist in San Francisco-based band Clovis De La Floret, and currently employed as a bus driver in Los Angeles.
Vudi wrote and sang lead vocals on a few American Music Club songs:
- "Memo From Bernal Heights" - a Mercury outtake which appeared on the 1984-1995 compilation
- "Memo From Aquatic Park" - co-written with Tim Mooney & appears on the Keep Me Around single
- "Little Joy - an outtake from The Golden Age which appeared on the Atwater Afternoon tour CD
Vudi's feet were the subject of the cover of American Music Club's 1993 single Johnny Mathis' Feet.
