Prior to his death, a tribute show was put together in honor of Mallon and to help raise money to cover his treatment costs and benefit the SF Brain Tumor Support Group. TomFest took place on March 3rd, 2013 at the Great American Music Hall in San Francisco, featuring performances from Flying Color, [[Toiling Midgets]], and members of [[American Music Club]], The Muskrats, Frightwig, Blue Movie, Ugly Stick, Penelope Houston and the Honey Badgers, Peter Case, Chuck Prophet and more. The "AMC" part of the night featured Mallon (bass), [[Danny Pearson]] (guitar and vocals), Joe Goldring (guitar), Mike Simms (drums), Nancie Lualhati (backing vocals), Vudi (percussion) and Steve Lindstrom (backing vocals).
