'Love Songs For Patriots' is American Music Club's 8th album, and their first since 1994's San Francisco, and first since reforming in 2003 to considerable critical acclaim. They recorded the album in San Francisco in their spare time between day jobs and other commitments. The album's songs were all written by Mark Eitzel and many had been performed live by him in solo performances before the band's reformation. The working title of the album was You Better Watch What You Say.[1]
