Tom Mallon
Tom Mallon was a musician, producer and engineer in and around San Francisco for over 35 years. Mallon began his engineering career in 1976 in a one-bedroom apartment in the Haight with a four-track and over the years built two studios; the second of which closed in 1998. Mallon played drums in marching bands and in competing color guards on the east coast when he was younger and, after a long hiatus, for three years in American Music Club (1986-1989), bass in AMC for half a year (1989), drums in Toiling Midgets (1991-1997; 2007-2013), and bass in the reconstituted Negative Trend (2008-2010).

Mallon also ran Grifter Records from 1984 through 1987, which released the first 4 American Music Club records.

Mallon played drums with American Music Club from 1986 through 1989, before switching to bass in 1989. During this time, he also acted as the band's producer and engineer, while he Grifter Records label released these albums.
