Lyrics
I should have got down to the bank Because now I don't have anything You know my good friends out there You know they'd never hurt anything
There's a thief sneaking out of my back door Leave it open, go ahead, let all hell blow in You didn't find anything to steal There's nothing here to touch or feel
Well everyone here is fast asleep I'm pounding on the doors in my hotel hallway Nothing here is mine at all So I'm just gonna throw it away
Only the dead hear me when I call Especially here, especially here Or wrapped up in a favorite book And I can't sink and I can't float And I can't sink and I can't float
I seem to have joined the enemy's side As I sit watching this tragedy Welcome everyone in my bedroom There's nothing here to touch or see There's nothing here to touch or see
Well everyone here is fast asleep I'm pounding on the doors in my hotel hallway Nothing here is mine at all I guess I'm just gonna give it away
How much money do I have How many nickels, quarters, dimes To pave my road away from here For one of the last times For one of the last times For one of the last times
