Danny Pearson is a San Francisco-based multi-instrumentalist, having performed with American Music Club, Clodhopper, The Snobs, The Ironics, Tarkio (with Colin Meloy of The Decemberists), Crazy Water String Band, Size Queens and John Murry.

In 1983 Pearson was playing guitar with San Francisco new wave band The Ironics, who were rehearsing downstairs from Farmers, when he was approached by Vudi about joining American Music Club. Pearson told Sean Body, "Vudi just came down one day and he said, 'We're going to be a great band. I was playing guitar at the time and Vudi told me that in this new band I would play bass, Matt would play drums and Vudi would play guitar...I said okay. The Ironics were pretty dead in the water anyway." Pearson initially left during the band's European tour for The Restless Stranger. Pearson rejoined the band in early 1986 and remained until their 1995 dissolution, and joined the band again for their 2004 reunion album Love Songs For Patriots and subsequent live album, A Toast To You.

Pearson played mandolin, drums, and electric upright bass on Eitzel's 1996 solo album, 60 Watt Silver Lining. Additionally, Pearson recorded the Eitzel-penned "Vulture And Hyena" for his 2004 solo album The Oblivion Seeker.
