Lyrics
No one knows why the animals love music
No one knows what makes their eyes clear
Maybe it's just all the blood
Maybe it's the smell of fear
All the pets that were castrated
They really groove on Top 40 hits
You can hear them sing along with their masters
The domestic dog howls, the domestic cat spits
Only Celine Dion can calm a lion
with his tragedy of teeth and his filthy hair
He hates his life, he says his heart is hollow
He sleeps all day, he doesn't like cat people near
Those who live beneath the waves, life will never drown
They like music you can shout to, they like music that never gets blue
They swim in big schools, they shine like sunset on a cloud
They think their pleasures free them, only their appetites make them proud
We should not forget the Royal Family - the mice and the rats
They like patriotic anthems and classic TV themes
They like to live life's rich majesty - hiding in walls, breathing heavily
The animals favorite composer was Tchaikovsky
He was the sentimental queer
His music could evoke loneliness and beauty
and of course how it feels in the rear
No one knows why the animals love music
All we know is that it sells beer
And yes, in series, all secrets are revealed
There are many ways to cry
but only one big tear
