Azure Lady Nightingale
"Azure Lady Nightingale" is the 2nd song on the 2004 Clubbo - Music To Believe In: Sampler Vol. 1 compilation. The song was recorded by Mark Eitzel under the name Devon Shire. Clubbo issued 2 compilation albums, touting themselves as "a legendary indie label with a 40-year history of ground- (and ear-) breaking music". The label, and its artists, were obviously farcical.

Regarding Devon Shire, Clubbo states, "In days of yore — also known as the early ’70s — singer/songwriter Devon Shire spun fey tales of romance, fantasy, and chivalry. Despite his less-than-mystical background, the mock-Tudor minstrel seduced millions, scoring a series of huge hits for Clubbo.
Devon’s earnest voice and gossamer guitar may seem dated today. Still, listening to 'Azure Lady Nightingale' (from 1971’s Once Had I A Castle Keep), it’s not hard to imagine the wistful damsels and lost lads who once believed wholeheartedly in Devon’s misty, magical world."
Lyrics
Azure lady nightingale
Drown me in your dreaming pool
My love, ooh my love
Siren songs beneath the moon
She's the queen and I'm her fool
My love, ooh my love
And when you sing to me I dive into the azure deep
And if one summer's day you fly away, don't wake me from my sleep
Azure lady nightingale
With the wind your song entwined
My love, ooh my love
In the golden afternoon
Love leaves azure thoughts behind
My love, ooh my love
And when you sing to me I dive into the azure blue
And then my lady love, I'll fly above the waking world to you
For you
